The event is jointly organised by the Danang Centre for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (DASC), Orochi Network and FPT Online. It seeks to attract domestic and international talent and investment to strengthen Vietnam’s blockchain and AI ecosystem.

Leveraging the government’s sandbox policies and innovation support, the initiative aims to advance digital transformation across sectors and elevate Vietnam’s profile on the global technology map.

The week-long programme features a dynamic array of activities, including a high-level plenary conference, thematic seminars on emerging tech trends and investment strategies, practical discussions on AI and blockchain in business and the Super Vietnam PitchFest. In addition, dedicated forums provide space for in-depth dialogue among more than 120 expert speakers and thousands of guests from around the world.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, underscored the strategic significance of hosting this international event. He noted that it reflects Da Nang’s determination to become a regional leader in digital innovation, in alignment with the city’s development goals under the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

Minh highlighted key focus areas such as digital financial services, fintech and blockchain, which are seen as essential to Da Nang’s economic and digital transformation. He cited the benefits of applying AI and blockchain solutions in financial management, logistics and e-transactions, optimising operations, improving transparency and driving competitiveness. With emerging fintech models like e-wallets and blockchain-based lending gaining traction, Da Nang is becoming increasingly attractive to financial technology companies.

Da Nang is also investing in digital infrastructure, including the establishment of digital financial sandboxes and free trade zones to serve as open innovation testbeds. These initiatives align with the city’s long-term vision of becoming an international financial centre capable of supporting cross-border transactions and deeper global integration.

Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, emphasised the city’s commitment to nurturing collaboration among innovators, entrepreneurs and investors. He called the event a transition point, from ideas to implementation, from vision to results and stressed that its impact would extend well beyond the closing ceremony.

“Da Nang is not just hosting an event,” Phong said. “It is building a home for breakthrough technology, openness and a future-ready society rooted in sustainability and human values.”

A key highlight is the Super Vietnam Expo, featuring nearly 30 booths showcasing pioneering technologies and products in blockchain, AI, data science and fintech from leading Vietnamese and global enterprises.

To deepen engagement and promote cross-sectoral integration, the event also features educational sessions tailored for students, hackathons for young developers and interactive exhibitions that offer hands-on experiences with emerging technologies. A special investor forum is designed to connect startups with venture capital firms, while a regulatory roundtable explores legal frameworks to support responsible tech development.

Participants will also gain access to exclusive networking lounges, mentor-led breakout discussions and collaboration zones, fostering meaningful exchanges among academia, government and industry. These opportunities are crafted to spark new partnerships and long-term innovation pipelines in Vietnam and across the ASEAN region.

Organisers also plan to publish a post-event white paper capturing insights, policy suggestions and strategic recommendations, complementing activities like investor meetings, job fairs, tech tours and talent signings to sustain collaboration and scale blockchain and AI across Southeast Asia.

Vietnam Blockchain and AI Week 2025 aligns with national ambitions by advancing digital transformation, attracting global innovation and supporting the country’s vision for a smart, sustainable and tech-driven future.
